Treasury Technology Specialist

Job Summary


The Treasury Systems Support Specialist is responsible for support and maintenance of the Global and Domestic Treasury Management System. He/She provides troubleshooting, administrative, and application support to users to ensure cash investment forecast data is effectively provided.


The Treasury Systems Support Specialist responds to international and domestic field issue requests to ensure resolution within service level agreement guidelines. He/She documents technical procedures utilized in developing and maintaining system performance (e.g., adding entities, creating templates, setting up new cash types, adding users, etc.) to create a record of processes utilized. This position reviews
internal audit procedures to ensure technology solutions include appropriate controls to comply with Sarbanes-Oxley.


Other Duties


  • Provides administrative support (e.g., retrieving data, creating and deleting users, addressing problems, etc.) to assist users in resolving problems.

  • Develops a system manual as required to provide guidance on system functionality.

  • Keeps users informed of future system enhancements to prepare for contingency plans and simplify job duties and tasks.

  • Administers user access and permissions to ensure system security.

  • Coordinates with UPS Information Technologies (IT) to monitor system to ensure limited down time.

  • Interfaces with third-party vendors on problem resolution to ensure effective transfer of data between banks and UPS.

  • Assists UPS IT with upgrade testing to improve system operation and add functionality.

  • Report Generation: Possesses ability to generate simple reports using basic functions in software, and/or writing basic queries; identifies information required to complete reports and identifies existing reports generated by others.

  • Solicits and Gathers Information: Demonstrates a general knowledge of techniques for soliciting and gathering information.

  • Technical Writing: Demonstrates a general understanding and use of grammatical rules; expresses ideas clearly and concisely; explains the relationship of effective writing to business objectives.

  • Technology Knowledge: Demonstrates a general understanding of technology used by the company; communicates basic technological concepts and terminology; applies standard technology in daily work.
