Technology Intern

Job Description

The UPS Store, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS is the world's largest franchisor of retail shipping, postal, printing and business service centers. The Quality Assurance intern performs various activities for retail technology solutions that enable The UPS Store franchisees to successfully fulfill their customers' needs. He/She works with Product Owners to help ensure their vision is fulfilled by testing and verifying the solution. He/she works with quality assurance team members to bring the vision into a reality as a software solution. The intern will also collaborate and problem-solve with cross-functional team members on interesting challenges in a retail franchise environment.


Responsibilities and Duties


  • Understands requirements and environment

  • Develops test plans

  • Develops test scripts and test drivers

  • Automates test scripts

  • Organizes test results for presentation to management

  • Executes regression testing with resolution to defects

  • Participates in iterative development with software engineers, supporting them with QA activities


Knowledge and Skills


  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle

  • Experience working on teams

  • Good written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with programming/scripting for test automation

  • Computer Science or engineering experience - Preferred
