Specialty Pharmacy Account Executive, Health Plans - Telecommute

The Specialty Pharmacy Account Executive, Health Plans manages various clients and will be focused on implementation of products and services. It will also include quarterly business reviews, data file management, escalated issue resolution, acting as specialty pharmacy SME and consultative services for clients and internal partners.  This position will manage large Regional and National Health Plans.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manages ongoing contract relationships and service delivery to clients for one or more accounts
  • Acts as outward - facing, dedicated resource for assigned accounts, typically with direct client contact (not call center) and large - size accounts
  • Builds relationships with clients
  • Represents client internally and coordinates with other functions to implement client systems, complete projects, and address ongoing service needs
  • Travels to client site to provide consultative services and recommendations
  • Analyzes reports to determine client trends, recommendations, and implements programs appropriate for the client
  • Works with other departments to develop operational solutions and recommendations
  • Sells the specialty pharmacy value proposition to internal partners and external clients

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience in a Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM / Account Management) setting
  • Prior experience managing large Health Plan
  • Online reporting database experience
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
  • Ability to multitask to resolution/completion
  • Lead and develop others within a team environment
  • Ability to problem solve/formulate solutions from experience or research
  • Presentation skills
  • You will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s US Telecommuting Policy
  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. Colorado Residents Only: The salary/hourly range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. As of the date of this posting, In addition to your salary,  UHG offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: Health, dental, and vision plans; wellness program; flexible spending accounts; paid parking or public transportation costs; 401(k) retirement plan; employee stock purchase plan; life insurance, short-term disability insurance, and long-term disability insurance; business travel accident insurance; Employee Assistance Program; PTO; and employee-paid critical illness and accident insurance.
