Infoscitex, a DCS company, has an opportunity for an aspiring Software Engineer to join our Aerospace Technology Development team in our Dayton, Ohio facility.

We have an immediate need for an enthusiastic, solutions-oriented computer scientist, computer engineer or software developer to support our extensive software development, modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts. Our software teams create solutions used throughout the Department of Defense in real-world applications, modeling and simulation and to influence the course of future DoD technology development.
Essential Job Functions:
As this Software Engineer, you could expect to:
Work in a small, tight-knit team following Agile-based software development principles.
Design, develop, test, and deploy software architectures for autonomy and control applications.
Develop plugin components for powerful simulation frameworks.
Develop algorithms applying theoretical research to practical problems.
Apply and tailor rigorous software development processes within agile research and development environments.
Apply systems and software engineering principles to manage system complexity, reduce integration time, and increase reusability.
Interact with subject matter experts across a wide variety of knowledge domains.
Interact with customers to develop innovative solutions, and present findings to leadership.
Clearly document code and software architecture and share with stakeholders at design reviews.
Some travel may be infrequently required.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least a BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline and at least 0 years of related analysis experience. (We have multiple levels associated with this opportunity. Candidates with advanced degrees or varying experience may be considered for alternative classification.)
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information: eligible to attain a Secret level U.S. DoD security clearance.

Although not firm requirements for consideration, we feel an ideal candidate might bring:
Experience with Java and/or C++ programming languages.
Experience developing code applied to control, automation, and autonomy of cyber-physical systems.
Knowledge and experience with Modeling & Simulation environments (constructive and virtual), and/or Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) concepts.
Experience with Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
Active U.S. DoD security clearance.
Familiarity with human interface research and technologies.
Familiarity with Agile software development processes.
