As ShippingSpecialist, As a Shipping Specialist, you willperform varied administrative duties where you will need to be aware andsensitive of past or developing situations while exercising judgment and timelyaction to serve the customer. This position requires a wide latitude inplanning and performance of assignments in accordance with policy or generalCompany practice, using a keen attention to detail.

Reporting directly to theWarehouse Supervisor, this position is based at the Welbilt Distribution Centerin Covington, Tennessee.

EssentialJob Functions:

  • Reviewcustomer request; identify standard, options required, install as prescribed.

  • Arrangefor outbound transportation. Track orders as needed.

  • Completesall documentation for shipment of goods including bills of lading, commercialinvoices, export documents, truck manifest, etc.

  • Responsiblefor execution and communication of shipping change orders/updates.

  • Prioritizeshipments taking into account customer status, unit availability, promised shipdate, customer requests.

  • Maintainshipment and transaction data in the database.




Job Requirements:

  • HighSchool Diploma and a minimum of 3 years' experience in shipping and/orlogistics is required.

  • Abilityto use Microsoft Word and Excel at the intermediate level required.

  • Experience with an ERP is preferred.
  • Stronglogistics background including familiarity in working with LTL and Full Truckcarriers is required.

  • Workingconditions include a normal office environment including, with some exposure towarehouse floor.
