AZZ Bus Systems is a wholly owned subsidiary of AZZ Inc. We're an engineering and manufacturing operation located in the Jackson Mississippi metro area. Our custom-built, medium voltage power distribution systems are found in power plants across the U.S.A., and around the world.
We have an outstanding opportunity for a high performing Sales Engineer to join our team. This position reports to our Sales Manager. The primary focus will be making sales to meet goals related to dollars booked, factory loading, and profit margin. Other activities include: monitor market activity and identify new sales prospects; develop and deliver sales presentations (including technical data); review and discuss technical needs with the customer and with internal departments; prepare and present reports which summarize and forecast industry activity, market conditions, and sales; etc.
This position is based in our Richland, MS, facility. Approximately 25% travel will be required (including some international travel).
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
A solid understanding of basic mechanical, electrical, and civil engineering principles is required, along with good sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. A Bachelors Degree in Engineering (BS/ME; BS/EE; etc.) is strongly preferred. Good computer skills are also needed.
Must have at least 3 years experience selling engineered products, preferably in the power generation industry. Experience in a technical customer liaison role may be accepted in lieu of actual sales experience.
This is a full time staff position that includes competitive compensation, incentive pay, and great benefits. Office hours are 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
