Reliability Technician (Lube Tech)

Job Description

The Reliability Technician is responsible for inspecting / servicing / cleaning / troubleshooting, and performing preventive maintenance tasks on machinery.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform detailed equipment inspections in accordance with the documented Maintenance (PM) processes
  • Performing machine alignments
  • Maintain lubricants in accordance with ISO standards
  • Troubleshoot and maintain Hydraulic Power Units and Lubrication systems
  • Perform lubrication tasks on machinery
  • Write descriptive work orders and job plans
  • Write descriptive work orders and job plans


  • Knowledge of tools common to the mechanical trade
  • Operate a forklift and man lift
  • Familiarity with Blueprints and Schematics
  • Familiarity with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, infrared imaging, ultra sound, laser alignment, NDT, etc.) is preferred but not required
  • Understanding of LEAN tools and TPM - 5S(6S), 5 Why's, etc. a plus
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as a team
  • Problem solver
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills
  • Able to work in a heavy industrial environment
