Under broad supervision, this position is responsible forthe quality of processes and product outputs which may include:

Defining andspecifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the qualityrequirements for a service or manufactured material, component, or product.

Auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of processes or outputs,either against defined internal and/or regulatory standards.

Product integritytesting, coloring, fitting and pattern and wet processing to ensure orders arein compliance with corporate/customers' quality requirements.

Reporting onprocess deviations and defects.

At this advanced level, a seasoned professionalis a recognized as a subject matter expert in job area typically obtainedthrough advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities typicallyinclude:

Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight frommanager.
Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower levelprofessionals.
Problems faced are difficult and often complex.


Reporting directly to the Director Quality, this position isbased in Shreveport, Louisiana.


Major Accountability:

  • Responsible fordaily tactical issues related to internal and external quality in the functionalarea.

  • Conducts and leadsprocess improvement efforts as an individual and through teams to complete initiatives.

  • Supports related operationsto improve and sustain KPIs.

  • Develops andsustains a Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO standards.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Reviews metrical performance of manufacturingsystem to prioritize issues.

  • Designs, implements, validates, and reports onsystems that improve the metrical performance of plan operations.

  • Provides a primary quality resource andleadership with respect to quality policies and standards.

  • Familiar of basic ISO implementation, Six Sigma,and other statistical and quality tools, Kaizen, SPC, and Lean Mfgconcepts. Knowledge of Deming, Juran,Taguchi, is highly desired.

  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of moreadvanced statistical software and techniques for process and product analysis.

  • Able to read more complex prints,specifications, and schematics.

  • Participates as Quality representative forchartered teams.

  • Manages customer and supplier relations,expectations, and needs.

  • Provide assistance or direction to lessexperienced staff.





Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quality, Manufacturing orBusiness preferred or experience in lieu of degree.

  • A minimum of 7 years of quality and manufacturingexperience required.

  • C.Q.E. and/or Quality Assurance training withcertificate underway or completed.

  • Knowledge of statistical software; goodknowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledgeable of MS Office products.

  • Good communication skills and ability to workeffectively with all levels of management and staff.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

  • Must be able and willing to use all requiredpersonal protective equipment (PPE).

  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 25%.
