As an Quality Engineer you will be responsible for the quality of processes and product outputs which may include defining and specifying activities, processes, and standards to fulfill the quality requirements for a service or manufactured material, components, or product. In addition, you will be responsible for auditing, monitoring, and determining the quality of processes or outputs, either against defined internal and/or regulatory standards.
Reporting directly to Quality Director, this position is based in Sellersburg, IN.

Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for daily tactical issues related to internal and external quality in the functional area.
Conducts and leads process improvement efforts as an individual and through teams to complete initiatives.
Supports related operations to improve and sustain KPIs.
Develops and sustains a Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO standards.
Reviews metrical performance of manufacturing system to prioritize issues.
Designs, implements, validates, and reports on systems that improve the metrical performance of plan operations.
Provides a primary quality resource and leadership with respect to quality policies and standards.
Familiar of basic ISO implementation, Six Sigma, and other statistical and quality tools, Kaizen, SPC, and Lean Mfg. concepts. Knowledge of Deming, Juran, Taguchi, is highly desired.
Knowledgeable and proficient in the use of more advanced statistical software and techniques for process and product analysis.
Able to read more complex prints, specifications, and schematics
Participates as Quality representative for chartered teams.
Manages customer and supplier relations, expectations, and needs.
Provide assistance or direction to less experienced staff
Bachelor's Degree in Quality / Manufacturing or related Business field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Quality or manufacturing. Will consider 15 years of experience in lieu of education requirement.
- Knowledge of statistical software.
Good knowledge of manufacturing and/or supplier processes preferred.
- Knowledgeable of MS Office products.
Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
Ability to stand & walk on concrete 100% of the day, ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb,balance, lift and carry 35 lbs.
