QA Engineer

Job Description

Job Summary:

WebACE™ is a proprietary online system developed for tracking, documenting and reporting on background checks for our internal users and customers. The QA Engineer will be responsible for taking product development initiatives from conception through to execution and supporting system improvements and quality assurance through testing. This involves creatively and proactively problem solving, managing multiple goals, and balancing timely delivery with design and quality needs.

Job Functional Requirements:


  • Develop and document end-to-end test cases, testing routines and testing procedures

  • Review processes for completeness and identify gaps

  • Conduct system testing to ensure proper system functionality and identify opportunities for enhancements

  • Facilitate the transition from QA testing to User Acceptance

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop maintenance, testing, communications and conversion plans for system changes following the change control process

  • Provide system training and support to internal users as new system enhancements are deployed

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to review project scope and determine project specifications

  • Consult on process analysis and design, recommending alternative solutions, both automated and manual, to meet those needs

  • Drive the requirements gathering process to ensure meaningful requirements are identified for the solution

  • Document requirements and conduct requirements walkthroughs

  • Utilize JIRA to develop detailed project plan and to document processes and issues

  • Develop workflow models and process maps

  • Consult with stakeholders on project status and issues

  • Monitor compliance and adherence to company standards

  • Assist with control remediation projects (as needed).






Job Technical Requirements:


  • Functional Automation (Atleast one - Selenium, Java, Cucumber, Katalon Studio)

  • Automation Framework (Hydrid Model)

  • API (RestAssured, JAVA) - Ability to use Postman/SOAPUI

  • Excellent problem solving techniques

  • Scripting experience in Java, C#, groovy

  • Experience in source control management (GIT is an added advantage)

  • Strong techniques of functional testing


Qualifications:


  • Bachelors of Computer Science or related field

  • 3-5 years of Automation/Functional Quality Assurance

  • Experience in using tools such as JIRA and Confluence

  • Experience working with Agile teams

  • Experience with Black Box and While Box testing with understanding of/experience with SQA methodologies, techniques and approaches

  • Ownership of test plan development and execution for customer facing applications

  • Experience creating and executing tests like regression, performance, stress, unit, API, integration and security testing

  • Experience in communicating with business users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features and technical designs.
