Property Administrator

Job Description

A leading property management firm located north of downtown Chicago is seeking a sharp and meticulous Property Administrator to join their team in a temp-to-hire capacity! The Property Administrator will be responsible for processing AP/AR, managing work orders, and reviewing contracts and leases for multiple properties. This is a wonderful opportunity for a motivated and highly organized individual with potential for growth. The compensation for this role is $16-18/hour during the temporary period, and $45-50k once hired on permanently.


Responsibilities of the Property Administrator:


  • Handle, code, and record all invoices including both accounts payable and receivable

  • Track insurance certificates and update on a regular basis in company system

  • Review contracts and leases; ensure for accuracy

  • File and maintain organized system for documents and paperwork

  • Oversee maintenance of properties including tracking work orders and following up with tenants and workers

  • Manage correspondence across multiple properties

  • Ensure compliance level of audits and record in annual logs

  • Additional tasks and projects as needed


Job Requirements

Requirements of the Property Administrator:


  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 1-3 years of experience in a corporate environment

  • Knowledge and experience with Yardi software is ideal

  • Interest in commercial real estate is highly preferred

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail
