Medical Records Clerk is accountable for maintaining accuracy and integrity of patient's chart. Integrates ancillary reports by filing into patient's chart. Identifies a wide variety of medical reports and documents, which must be electronically converted and imported to specified e-files and drives. Responds to medical records requests from patients, other providers, and insurance companies, following established guidelines and legal requirements. Facilitates and assists with records requests via telephone, in person, and by fax. Supports process for patient forms requests (i.e. disability, FMLA).
This is a full-time position, Monday thru Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm in our PSL office.
Minimum two (2) years' experience in Medical Records in a healthcare environment. Sound knowledge of legal requirements of release of information, and Privacy rules and regulations. Friendly and professional, organized and customer-focused. Solid computer skills.
