Communicating results of analysis on deposit and loan portfolios through technical writing and charts/graphs to modeling team and bank management.Nature and ScopeWorks under immediate supervision.The position is for an established time period.Quantitative Modeling intern will assist in the research and development of behavior models to help the quantitative modeling team and Treasury management better understand product and customer behavior.The intern will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with quantitative analysts to produce and communicate the results of models and analytics to Treasury management.Internship will involve the management of large datasets, statistical programming, and the creation of data visualization to communicate analytical results.Minimum Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED.Pursuing an Associate's degree or higher.Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate program mathematics, applied math, computer science, engineering, or quantitative social science with significant coursework completed in economics, statistics, econometrics, data analysis, calculus, and/or programming
Ideal Qualifications Preferred:Prior banking/office experience.Good PC skills and Microsoft Word and Excel.Proven strong written and verbal communication skills.Undergraduate major in mathematics, applied math, computer science, engineering, or quantitative economics with significant coursework completed in economics, statistics, econometrics, data analysis, calculus, and/or programming Experience with Excel and statistical programming language (e.g. SAS, Python, Stata, R, or Matlab)Exposure to econometric modeling and machine learning techniquesAbility to analyze large datasets through both descriptive statistics and multivariate analysis and explain results of analysis through concise written communication and charts/graphsAbility to work both autonomously and within a team environment.Documented interest in banking/finance/economics.
