The International Service Specialist will contribute to a large variety of international requests by assisting in the scoping, coordinating, and delivery of global engagements across all lines of business. In this role, you will collaborate with partners, business developers and other professional staff in the United States and internationally. The ISO Specialist will leverage their expertise gained by working with global teams to assemble seamless service solutions critical to winning and retaining clients.
In addition to contributing to a variety of client-facing engagements, the International Specialist will also meaningfully support multiple internal firm-wide programs and initiatives. The International Specialist will assist with the development and maintenance of tools, services, and data dashboards for both client and internal use. Additionally, the ISO department plays a key role in tracking and identifying trends in foreign direct investment clients, managing the firm’s Country Desk practice, and spearheading firm innovation. We expect the International Specialist to become familiar with these programs. The ISO Specialist will be expected to self-manage on short-, medium-, and long-term projects.
The individual may be engaged in limited fieldwork and travel.
Proactively working with the global engagement teams and clients to deliver and promote best practices in international client service: identifying a service need, communicating with the global teams, anticipating and preventing issues, identifying independence concerns, and documenting, analyzing, and reporting on global client trends.
Supporting the firm’s Global Strategy to deliver on the RSM US client experience:
Meaningfully contributing to existing programs/initiatives by providing project management support, using data to support decision-making, and reporting up to firm-wide leadership.
Assisting with and shows a willingness to learn about the ISO's reporting functions, including a number of data dashboards.
Maintaining and improving upon the ISO's proprietary toolkits and methodologies:
Collecting and analyzing global competitive intelligence data.
Updating of worldwide compliance requirements.
Preparing and disseminating information regarding the firm's global capabilities.
Supporting the accurate timely reporting of metrics related to foreign-owned clients.
Collaborating with internal marketing department to develop content that is relevant to the global market.
Participating in limited fieldwork.
Bachelor’s Degree – required
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including a minimum intermediate skill level in Excel
High degree of comfort working in an unstructured environment and ability to work well under pressure
Ability to be self-directed and responsive
Ability to handle sensitive leadership information with utmost confidentiality
Collegial team player who can work with a small team within a global, matrixed environment
Diplomacy, poise, maturity and empathy are all key attributes for success
Strong communication (written and oral) skills
Highly proficient in English with the abilty to clearly articulate complex ideas
Demonstrated project management, organization, and follow-up skills preferred
Experience with Power BI for data modeling and creating visualizations and/ or willingness to learn preferred
Ability to speak, read, write in at least one foreign language (French, German, and Spanish preferred) preferred
2 - 5 years work experience in professional services, preferably in the finance or accounting industry
Experience living or working abroad preferred
