Infoscitex (IST), a DCS company, has an internship opportunity for a highly-motivated individual looking to pursue a career in a computer science-focused STEM field. This position will be to support ongoing software application development in Dayton, OH. Our team is developing software to perform autonomous planning, allocation, assignment, and routing for unmanned aircraft, along with designing and developing human-machine interfaces for the Army’s Advanced Teaming Demonstration Program (A-TEAM).
A-TEAM is a multifaceted program, with the primary goal of improving teaming of manned and unmanned aviation assets to execute tactical missions with minimal human intervention.
Essential Job Functions:
In this role, you can anticipate to:
Annotate documents and provide information for use with Natural Language Processing tools.
Work to develop and expand scenarios developed using AFSIM. This will include creating new scenarios and expanding existing scenarios to include more vehicles and platforms.
Perform code base maintenance including, but not limited to, deleting dead code branches, checking and updating build scripts, and other tasks as needed.
Develop tools and applications at an entry level.
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
At least partial completion of a BS degree program at an accredited institution in a STEM-related discipline.
Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. DoD background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Some experience, classroom acceptable, with an object-oriented software programming language (such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic).
Strong interest in programming and software development.
Ability to work well in team-oriented environments.
Highly motivated problem solver.
