Mildred Elley, a private, post-secondary educational institution located in Manhattan, NY seeks a full-time HUMAN RESOURCES ASSISTANT to assist with the day to day operations within Human Resources. The faculty and staff of Mildred Elley have a demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, focusing on academic improvements, student service improvements, and accreditation and compliance improvements.

Job Requirements


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources department;
  • Process documentation and prepare reports;
  • Assist with employee requests regarding HR issues, rules and regulations;
  • Assist in payroll preparation at the campus level;
  • Assist in annual open enrollment for benefit programs;
  • Conduct background and reference checks;
  • Support Company recruitment efforts;
  • Ensure the integrity and confidentiality of employee information.

Requirements:
  • Must be highly organized and able to multitask;
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills;
  • Must be extremely proficient in the use of computer technology; MS Office, in particular;
  • Prior experience in Human Resources required;
  • Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
