GBS Training Spring Editor Intern

Job Description

Job Summary


This position collaborates with a variety of management levels on projects that contribute to the success of the team. This intern uses discipline specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to assist with various projects, presentations, and business improvement opportunities. This position performs other career related responsibilities as assigned.


Responsibilities 


  • Edits material based on the Department Style Guide (DSG)

  • Handles project summary presentation and paper

  • Proofreads materials for select training programs and identifies errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax according to DSG

  • Monitors training materials to ensure consistency and adherence to formatting standards is maintained


Preferences


  • Demonstrates strong applied knowledge of the structure and content of the English language (meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar)

  • Possesses excellent communication (written and verbal), time management and organizational skills

  • Displays critical thinking and reasoning skills and keen attention to details

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and Desktop applications (Windows)

  • Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Journalism, Communications, or English with at least two years of course work completed towards a degree with prior internship experience
