Job Description

The Financial Analyst FP&A is a member of the Supply Chain FP&A team. This role is instrumental in partnering with Supply Chain and FP&A leaders to establish and drive high-performance capabilities. The Financial Analyst FP&A will develop, interpret and quantify financial and operational metrics and analyses related to Supply Chain operations activities. The Financial Analyst will be critical in ensuring accuracy of Supply Chain reporting and results. The Financial Analyst FP&A will also partner with the Supply Chain teams, as well as the other cross-functional teams in the organization. 

Work across the organization to:

  • Support month-end close process by meeting all deadlines with accurate submissions.  Seek areas of improvement in current processes.
  • Assist in coordination of planning and forecasting efforts and ensure due dates are achieved
  • Research, track and summarize key data including, trends, profitability and expense analyses
  • Preparation of monthly reporting for Supply Chain Functions
  • Responsible for the overall integrity of Supply Chain Finance Reporting & Databases
  • Evaluate current reporting and processes and make suggestions and recommendations to streamline and improve
  • Evaluate projects designed to improve operations, control costs, and improve performance
  • Report and interpret key performance indicators (KPI’s) driving visibility for improved results
  • Evaluate business cases/proposals to drive operations to make informed business decisions
  • Analyze plan/forecast/prior year results and variances to provide actionable insights
  • Perform ad hoc analytics and provide insights on variances and trends
  • Ad-hoc assignments

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting/Finance
  • CPG industry knowledge a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting required
  • Master’s Degree in Finance/Business/Accounting a plus
  • AS400, Oracle, GL Wand, Hyperion, and Power BI knowledge a plus
  • Advanced Excel Skills (complex formula’s, Pivot Tables, Charting)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Solid understanding of general accounting principles
  • Ability to interpret data, identify and communicate potential opportunities and risks
  • Flexible and able to prioritize multiple projects in order to meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and capability to contribute to a fast-paced team environment
  • Able to sift through and analyze data and present in concise and structured manner
  • Able to draw conclusions, develop recommendations and identify risks/opportunities from data
  • Strong dotted line to operations partnering with cross-functional teams
  • Effective communication and ability to influence others to get results or develop solutions
  • Must be proficient with Windows, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Power Point, etc.
