Under direct supervision, the Engineer II performsa variety of engineering work requiring the application of standard techniques,procedures, and criteria in carrying out a sequence of related engineeringtasks. Plans and designs products,tools, and equipment. Incumbents receivespecific and detailed instruction regarding required tasks and expected results. Tasks typically relate to design,test, verification and reliability of mechanicaland electromechanical food service products and systems. This is anintermediate level position.


Reporting directly to the Director Engineering, thisposition is based in Shreveport, Louisiana*.

Major Accountability:

  • Works on new product designs, product improvements, test analysis,and production and service liaisons.

  • Prepares basic analysis, test, performance, schedule, and costinformation as required.

  • Responsible for timely, cost effective development of productdesigns, component and material requirements, bills of materials, and assemblyinstructions for commercial equipment.

  • Performs engineering work

Essential Job Functions:

  • Prepares conceptsketches, detail drawings, design models, and specification documents forproduct designs.

  • Prepares rootcause analysis, test performance, schedule and cost information, as required.

  • Preparesprogress reports, feasibility and concept studies, etc., as required.

  • Assists in the preparation of manuals and salesliterature on assigned projects.



Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.

  • At least 2 years of experience is preferred.

  • Knowledgeable of fundamental engineering principlesconcepts, practices and procedures of a field of specialization

  • Understands design theory and has demonstratedthe ability to read and prepare drawings

  • Experience with Microsoft office suite, Solidworks, andAutoCad required

  • May require ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to wear all required personal protectiveequipment (PPE)

Working Conditions:

  • Normal office or lab environment
  • Periodic time spent on manufacturing or productionfloor
