SUMMARY:



•         Position Title: Communications Specialist



•         Location: Indianapolis, IN 46204



•         Expected Duration: Long term contract

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:



•         Draft and maintain employee communications for Customer Service, including writing articles and executing internal announcements



•         Develop messaging and responses to emerging issues for staff, leadership staff and in support of all of Customer Service



•         Receive, interpret and develop the strategy for dissemination of internal communications



•         Initiate remediation efforts and track progress for associated communication releases



•         Serve as the primary voice for outgoing client Customer Service communication with other client departments and in meetings with senior leaders and stakeholders



•         Monitor customer and stakeholder dialogue to identify improvements needed with internal processes and communication tactics making recommendations for enhancements



•         Serve as a spokesperson for Customer Service on assigned projects and initiatives, presenting to both large and small groups and delivering on expectations



•         Maintain publication repository



•         Administer record retention requirements



•         Coordinate and write department communications; monitor for timeliness and completeness



•         Create, edit and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), process flows, job aids, and scripting



•         Administer certification and the initial approval process for documentation as well as at a regular cadence for designated documentation



•         Serve as administrator of the multi-functional Customer Service SharePoint site and subsites by coding and maintaining repositories, workflow calendars, report production, and event



•         Contribute to the “Best-In-Class” Customer Service strategy development/issues management/crisis management messaging



•         Create and maintain disaster recovery efforts including the development and testing of business continuity plans for all central functions and district offices



•         Lead requirement gathering conversations and produce communication strategy suggestions seeking approval and executing on agreements



•         Create and manage the development and analysis of customer and employee satisfaction feedback surveys including coordination of action plan efforts



•         Assist the Customer Experience Manager in prioritizing the workflow and communications projects to ensure all deadlines are met



•         Perform other duties as directed by the Client Customer Experience Manager



JOB REQUIREMENTS:



•         Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in public relations, journalism, or communication management – or relevant work experience



•         3-5 years of direct work experience – or equivalent in a combination of education and college internships



•         Working knowledge of strategic communication planning



•         Excellent writing and editing skills for a variety of communication channels (web, email, marketing materials, news releases, correspondence, etc.)



•         Ability to implement public-opinion research techniques and practices



•         Ability to analyze research data and summarize into usable reports



•         Proficient in the use of PowerPoint and presentation design/development



•         Proficient in the administration of SharePoint and database software (i.e. Excel)



•         Proficient in the use of Visio



•         Strong public-speaking skills
