Daily Responsibilities

  • Safety – Review every morning to ensure compliance.
    1. Ensure all tools are in proper working order.
    2. Ensure proper PPE is being used.
    3. Document any safety violation that may occur.
    Quality
    1. Identify any problem areas and correct immediately.
    2. Ensure proper type and quantity of materials that are being installed.
    3. Ensure proper details are being installed.
    Production
    1. Set crew goals at the beginning of each day.
    2. Measure against needed game plan that we have set in place.
    3. Identify ways to improve production.
    4. Document issues that effect production.
    • Job site Conditions
    1. Debris is removed
    2. Materials and equipment are secured and protected.
    3. Report any discrepancies or changes that come up.
    Water Tightness
    1. Confirm tie-ins are done daily.
    2. Confirm drains are done daily.
    3. Flashing terminations.
    Time
    1. Update project daily planner.
    2. Ensure accuracy and tuned in daily.
    Communicate
    1. Discuss daily plan with the Customer.
    2. Ask the Customer they have any needs that we are not meeting.
    3. Discuss project conditions with the Project Manager.
    4. Turn in delivery tickets, inspection report or any paperwork to the Project Manager.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5 years minimum successful experience as a commercial roofing superintendent.
  • Must have a working knowledge of all phases of commercial roofing utilized in our market.
  • Must have a fluent knowledge of materials, tools and machines used in the trade.
  • Display strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
  • Ability to read blueprints, specifications and contracts/work order for specific projects and materials.
  • Must be able to demonstrate to customers, employees and management at a professional level both oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, in English, and comprehend drawings and specifications, documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Computer skills such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
    • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
