The Auto Club Group (ACG) provides membership, travel, insurance and financial services offerings to approximately 9 million members and customers across 13 states and 2 U.S. territories through the AAA, Meemic and Fremont brands. ACG belongs to the national AAA federation and is the second largest AAA club in North America. 
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:


Learn about the Auto Club Group and assigned business line products and services by receiving training through corporate education and/or on-the-job training.  Assignments are based on business line needs, but should encompass professional level work that may include: gathering information, providing analysis and drawing conclusions and/or developing recommendations, conducting department business/system audits, developing reports, performing mathematical calculations for various transactions, selling and servicing of various ACG/affiliated products, etc. Good performers are eligible to return.


The role of Project Coordinator Co-op is to assist the Project Manager in organizing ongoing team projects. This will include monitoring project plans, schedules, work hours and ensuring that project deadlines are met in a timely manner.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions):


  • Assist in tracking, creating, formulating and updating reports on an on-going basis

  • Distribute high volume of internal and external correspondence on behalf of the team

  • Assist with organizing, planning project time lines from start to finish including:

  • Prepare meeting materials, take copious notes during team meetings and handles follow-up matters as required

  • Conduct research to assist with meeting preparation and project coordination

  • Create, revise and edit written materials, including presentations

  • Support scheduling and logistics for the team

  • Create, revise and edit written material as needed, including presentations

  • May have ownership of some components of larger projects

  • Perform other duties and special projects, as directed

  • Track project progress and proactively communicate project status to internal stakeholders.

  • Perform integrated change control on projects as needed.

II. Required Qualifications (these are the minimum requirements to qualify)


  • 1 year of experience in a professional role

  • Ability to anticipate tasks, prioritize, multitask and work well under pressure

  • Strong organizational, writing and communication skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to take ownership of projects up to completion

  • Experience tracking complex projects in a high tech environment

  • Strong relationship building and customer service experience

  • Strong proficiency with Word and Outlook, and Excel


Education (include minimum education and any licensing/certifications):


  • Associates degree or credits towards Business Administration, Finance, Computer, Information Technology or related field

    Experience: 

  • Experience in a high-paced office environment

  • Ability to work full-time

Exceptional written and oral communication skills


         IV.   Work Environment:
                 Works in temperature-controlled office environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Post for all College Intern Positions:


Education:
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Sophomore and/or Junior (determined by department)

  • Full-time enrollment - Bachelor’s degree program at an accredited college/university

  • Must be enrolled in their college/university career development internship program(s)

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States


    Experience in/with:

  • Providing timely solutions to problems

  • PC software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.)

  • Multi-tasking and appropriately prioritizing tasks to ensure meeting business line goals


    Knowledge of:

  • Basic math calculations to accurately perform various types of transactions

  • Field of study that aligns with assigned business line


    Ability to:

  • Work from May to August or rotational schedule(s)
    Ability to learn the following: 

  • Acquire knowledge of ACG products, services and functions to perform the responsibilities of assigned job

  • Assist internal/external client in response to questions, requests and resolution of problems

  • Review records, system files, reports, etc. to ensure correct information is reflected and/or assigned.

  • Gather data and prepare/track  reports

  • Communicate effectively with others in a work environment and with the public

  • Assist and/or develop reports/presentations/recommendations for management review

  • Rotate within department/field location to cross-train on various business line functions

  • Work independently and on teams


    Skills Needed:

  • Oral and written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Analytical and critical thinking skills

  • Be technically savvy
