Certified Pharmacy Technician - Work From Home!

Humana is hiring Certified Pharmacy Technicians and Techs in Training! As a Certified Pharmacy Technician you will be responsible for speaking with Humana members via inbound and outbound calls regarding their prescriptions and maximizing their benefits. Job Responsibilities:



•       Talk with existing Humana members, physician offices or pharmacies via inbound and outbound calls



•       Educate members on alternative medications and opportunities for cost savings



•       Helping our members to maximize their benefits and get the most from their Humana insurance



•       Communicate and interact with fellow team members to meet department goals



•       Provide counseling and education for Medication Therapy Management (MTM) solutions to patients who are taking multiple medications



•       Problem solving with infusion pharmacists and nurses to deliver accurate prescription information



•       Coordinating field nursing for home administered medications and supplies needed for home administration



•       Enter critical patient information into ScriptMed system, including but not limited to insurance information, medication profile, drug allergies, etc.



•       Ensure patients receive their medication both timely and accurately



•       Facilitate patients in receiving financial assistance



Opportunities to Work From Home - must reside and be licensed in Arizona.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Certified and Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of  Arizona

  • Must have an active Pharmacy Technician license in Arizona

  • Must be able to become Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB)

  • Experience using multiple computer applications simultaneously and ability to multitask

  • A positive, proactive attitude, energetic, and highly motivated

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

  • Applied knowledge of insurance processing, customer service or call center
    processes and practices

  • A positive attitude with a desire to help our members and be engaged with your team 

  • Ability to work consistently and efficiently while performing repetitive tasks



Preferred Qualifications:



•       6 months – 1 year of Pharmacy experience OR equivalent telephonic experience in a pharmacy call center setting



  • Mail order or retail  Pharmacy experience

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to speak both English and Spanish fluently

  • IV Compounding experience

  • Experience with typing prescriptions

  • Experience with performing calculations
