ASSISTANT OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

Responsible for aiding the Operations Supervisor with the overall supervision of the tellers' unit.  Provides leadership and ensures the development of the tellers.  Performs the daily branch proof.

Essential Job Functions:

• Supplies tellers with adequate cash for operating.

• Be able to recognize sales opportunities and the ability to cross sell bank products.

• Controls reserve cash under dual control with branch management.

• Provides prompt, courteous, and efficient service to depositors and staff through a variety of transactions.

• Ensure regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act are adhered to.

• Recognize and respond to immediate sales or service needs of the branch in order to reduce customer wait time.

• Contribute to positive team environment.

• Assist tellers in daily operation, including proof and resolving customer inquiries, complaints and concerns.

• Verifies tellers cash at close of business.

• Ensures tellers turn in excess cash.

• Maintains and safeguards working supply of branch cash.

• May assist in the proving of the ATM's.

• Through knowledge of policies and procedures.

• Knowledge of the Bank's hold-up procedures.

Requirements:

• Prior bank supervisory experience.

• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required.

• Good communication skills.

• Courteous and friendly behavior.

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of banking floor operations, policies and procedures.

• Ability to supervise, motivate, train, develop and evaluate staff.

• Thorough knowledge of teller computer equipment and all related banking floor equipment.

• Works weekends/extended hours and at neighboring branch locations when necessary.
