Accountant I will perform professional accounting work in the recording and reporting of financial transactions. Analyze financial billing data and prepare financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, payroll, liabilities, profit and loss, or other financial activities. Provide meaningful trend and variance analysis to management. 

If you are located within commutable distance to Canonsburg, PA, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare journal entries and document business transactions for month-end close
  • Receives and obtains information from relevant sources to understand and support financial transactions
  • Analyze the balance sheet and profit and loss statements for all of MedExpress’ business lines 
  • Ensures financial statements are complete, accurate, and timely 
  • Assists in maintaining the general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principals
  • Prepares balance sheet account analysis with relevant line-item detail and supporting documentation

Required Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting
  • Related experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Above average personal computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office products
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Ability to perform work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to high level staff
