Select Specialty Hospital is state licensed, Medicare certified, and staffed with experienced health care professionals. The majority of our hospitals are eligible for and are JCAHO accredited. The physicians on our medical staff, along with our nurses and therapists, work closely together to improve the physical, emotional and functional wellness of our patients. Our programs are designed to move patients from an acute care setting toward achieving their highest level of wellness possible.

    Benefits Summary

    Paid Time Off (PTO)
    Paid Time Off is provided for vacation, illness or injury, personal business, bereavement, and Company recognized holidays.

    Extended Illness Days (EID)
    Extended Illness Days provide a form of short-term disability insurance for you and accumulate over time.

    Comprehensive plans are available for you and your dependents. Coverage begins on the first day of the month following 90 days of continuous full-time employment.

    Life Insurance
    You are provided with a Company paid term life and AD&D policy. Additional supplemental insurance as well as spousal and dependent options are also available.

    Disability Insurance
    A voluntary Short Term Disability (STD) is available to you. Long Term Disability (LTD) is provided to you. Select Specialty pays plan premiums.

    Continuing Education/Tuition Reimbursement
    Select Specialty encourages you to enhance your skills and knowledge. Assistance is provided for job related training and degree granting programs.

    401(k) Plan
    To help you save for retirement, our 401(k) plan includes an employer match and an accelerated vesting schedule. Employees are eligible to participate the first day of the month following 90 days of continuous full-time employment.

    Select Specialty provides a variety of leave policies which cover personal, military, and family medical leave.

    Each patient is assigned a Case Manager who will guide the patient from admission through discharge. The Case Manager is available to answer questions, assist with insurance and to plan for a safe, timely and appropriate discharge. Interdisciplinary Team Meetings are held regularly to review the patient’s progress and to set new goals. Discharge is arranged when the acute medical needs of the patient have been met and he or she is ready for the next level of care or return home.
