Procurement Finance Analyst

Job Description

Overview

SBM Site Services is looking for a Procurement Finance Analyst to support Procurement and Specialized Supply. The Procurement Finance Analyst will actively interface with our the teams to maximize profitability and maintain sustainable metrics for operational and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Provide recommendations on expenditure requirements to better align the Procurement and Specialized Supply organization(s) on major corporate economic strategies, objectives and policies.
  • Directly support Procurement and Specialized Supply in preparation of existing budgets, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for both internal and external use.
  • Provide Procurement and Specialized Supply with consistent visibility to current financial performance through weekly communications and reporting.
  • Escalate critical financial issues through appropriate channels to ensure monthly/quarterly performance goals are achieved.
  • Work directly with Procurement and Specialized Supply management team(s) to develop monthly, quarterly and annual operating budgets to achieve corporate objectives and desired profit expectations.
  • Provide timely reviews of financial status and progress in its various programs and activities as they relate to Procurement and Specialized Supply performance.
  • Coordinate and report quarterly Procurement and Specialized Supply incentive programs within corporate guidelines, controls and rewards.
  • Supports Business Development team in pricing activities to for new and existing customers to align and protect the overall financial integrity of the organization.
  • Identify key cost drivers in various lines of business to continuously improve pricing structure and increase the organizations competitive advantage.
  • Collect/analyze internal and external market data to drive down the organization’s overall cost of ownership.
  • Utilize market intelligence to quantify emerging market segments and increase the existing customer value proposition.
  • May require travel.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years of experience in a purchasing environment preferred but not required
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year university – preferably in Finance or Supply Chain
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret journal entries and business reports
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, employees, and general public.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office particularly in the area of MS Excel. 
  • Knowledge of Crystal Reports, MS SQL, and Financial report writers is a plus
  • Experience with integrating data from multiple systems into single application or platform.

Available Shift:  Full Time

Compensation:  Pay depends on experience
