GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining, configuring and troubleshooting multiple product type telecommunications networks and associated communications environments under minimal supervision, including assembly and testing of telecommunications hardware.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Builds, tests and maintains telecommunications components, products and associated services
* Sets up, maintains and ensures integrity of telecommunications operations and equipment including assembly of network hardware
* Installs and tests customer telecommunications products in customer networks per manufacturers specifications and customers requirements
* Develops comprehensive test plans and performs advanced hardware and functional testing on multiple product lines in an in-service environment
* Performs power and grounding installations, multiple product type power verification and equipment power-up
* Upgrades telecommunications components as required
* Responds to customer telecommunications needs and questions in areas of responsibility and ensures work quality, schedule and cost adherence
* Performs telecommunications troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose all types of telecommunications problems
* Completes equipment commissioning performance results
* Provides customers with telecommunications technical support including problem escalation resolution
* Maintains comprehensive project plans and provides customer and management with job status information
* Creates and delivers telecommunications systems monitoring and performance reports
ADDITIONAL DEPARTMENT OR POSITION-SPECIFIC DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes other specific duties/responsibilities as directed.
May provide staff training and development for other Huawei Technologies employees
Requirements
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Minimum Associates degree in electronics or equivalent education and experience.
Preferred Bachelors degree in Engineering
Required Certification/Licensure Valid Drivers License
Experience
Minimum 5 years progressively complex telecommunications experience with electronic troubleshooting, installation and commissioning of equipment.
Preferred 6 years related telecommunications experience.
